School Newsletter - 15th July 2010
Dear Parents
With just over one week to go until the end of term I would like to say a big thank you to the many people who have made me so welcome at Long Meadow School this term. It was lovely to see so many of you at the meeting yesterday evening and it was very interesting to hear your thoughts and opinions about how to move our school forward into the future. We will make sure that we keep you up to date with future developments next year. Thank you too for supporting your children at our Sports Days this week – it makes such a difference to them to have people there cheering them on!
I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work throughout the term with a special thanks to Mrs Freshwater, Mrs Dolling, Mrs Myles and Mrs Fieldhouse in the office. There is a lot of work this time of year in preparing for the end of term and for September and I am grateful for their cheerful hard work and patience at this very busy time of year. Thanks too to Mr Watts, Miss Dolan and our team of cleaning staff who do such a good job all year round to keep the school safe, clean and attractive for the children.
I hope to see lots of parents again at our Open Evening next week (Monday 19th July). Do come along to see some of the things that your children have been doing in school this term. We are looking forward to the Year 6 production of Grease next week and I would like to wish all the children in Year 6 continued success as they move onto their new secondary schools. Best wishes also go to all other children who are leaving to join new schools.
I hope you all have a happy and enjoyable summer break and I look forward to seeing you all again in September.
