PUPIL NUMBERS

As you will be aware Long Meadow is almost entirely full. In some year groups we have waiting lists with as many as five children waiting for spaces. We are very sorry to parents for the inconvenience that this is causing. We hope you understand that this is due to circumstances beyond our control.

SUMMER HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Once again we will be participating in the very important Christmas Shoe Box Appeal. The deadline for collection will be in the middle of next term – details will be issued nearer the time. Now is a great time to pick up bargains. We have noticed that England World Cup merchandise is on offer at the moment! If you are having a summer clearout why not put by any suitable items to put in the boxes next term.

GOODBYE & GOOD LUCK TO MRS MYLES

You may be aware that Mrs Myles, our School Health Administrator, is leaving us at the end of term. Mrs Myles has been with Long Meadow since January 2004 and has probably looked after every child in the school at some time. She will be greatly missed by children, staff and parents and we wish her every success in her new career path.

We are delighted to announce that Mrs Georgina Press will be joining us in September to carry on the great work that Mrs Myles has done over the years.
