COLLECTING CHILDREN ON TIME AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL DAY
Since our letter reminding parents about the importance of collecting children on time at the end of the school day there has been a reduction in the number of late collections. Thank you. There is no provision at Long Meadow for staff to look after children from 3:15 pm. Our After School Club, run by Kids Play, can be contacted on 07595 653235. They are able to supervise children from 3:15 pm up to 6:00 pm and can provide them with their tea.www.twitter.com/LongMeadowSch (case sensitive).
SPECTACLES TO SRI LANKA
We have just sent our first batch of spectacles to Sri Lanka to support the work of Hope Outreach UK. The 43 pairs of glasses that Long Meadow sent will be put to great use. The Mayor, during one of his recent visits, was very impressed with the children’s efforts for his chosen charity. The box remains in the front entrance and we look forward to filling it again. Thank you to everyone for all their efforts.SCHOOL COUNCIL HEALTHY LUNCH TIME AWARD TROPHY
Our School Council have introduced a trophy to be awarded to the class with the highest percentage of healthy school lunches. If a child has two or more healthy items in their lunch box this will count towards the award. If a child has a hot school meal this also counts. Please encourage your child to have a healthy lunch.TANG SOO DO CLUB
