School Newsletter - 5th March 2010
LIBRARY NEWS
It has been lovely to see so many children and their parents using the library after school. Don't forget you can come and ask for help with homework or ideas for new authors to try. Everyone is welcome!Books from the library should be returned after one week in Key Stage 1 and two weeks in Key Stage 2. CDs and cassette tapes are loaned for one week.
Unfortunately, we have a lot of books that go missing or are not returned over the year and our library stock is becoming depleted. We do not have the funds to replenish it. We also borrow books from Milton Keynes Library Service and have to pay them for any lost or damaged books.
Children who borrow books from the library have been authorised by their parents. Parents have signed a slip to confirm that they will pay for a replacement book if it has been lost or damaged. Please can parents make sure that books are returned promptly to avoid this happening.
There will be a book amnesty from Monday 22nd March. Any books that you find hiding behind the sofa, under the bed, in the bits and bobs drawer, ironing basket or in any of those weird and wonderful places where things appear, can be placed in a box in reception.
NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!
