School Sport
Mr Steel – Head of Sport
We are passionate about sport at Long Meadow. We believe there is a sport out there for every child to thrive and excel in and it is our responsibility to find it. We also think that it is important that every child in the school has the opportunity to represent Long Meadow in a competitive sports fixture against another school. Over the last four years, 100% of our Year 6 children have left us having fulfilled this goal. Within the space of the last twelve months we have competed in: Football, Swimming, Athletics, Rugby, Tennis, Badminton, Gymnastics, Rounders, Cricket, Tug of War, Cross-Country Running, Netball, Basketball, Dodgeball and Golf. We have opportunities for children to join sports clubs which take place before school, after school and at lunchtime. It is Mr Steel’s role to oversee all sport and PE in the school. All of our children take part in an all day Sports Day, with a team based events in the morning, followed by traditional races in the afternoon.
We would love our parents to be part of the Long Meadow team for the MK Primary School 10k Champs held at Silverstone. The entry form is HERE
